audi tt 2011

This is the 2011 Audi TT. It looks the same, it steers the same and it sticks the same. But there's one major difference: torque. Audi has managed to coax an additional 51 pound-feet of twist from its ever-evolving 2.0-liter TFSI four cylinder. The result? The standard TT isn't just the Bauhaus design icon that propelled Audi into the luxury limelight at the end of the last decade – it's finally a proper sports car. And it's about damned time. Follow the jump to see what we're torquing about.Starting April 9, the world will get its first peek at next year's Audi TT at AMI Lepzig. So far, details are iffy on exactly what we can expect from the 2011 coupe and roadster, but the car is due for a mild facelift. We're guessing new front and rear fascias and a revised wheel program are likely to find their way into the soup de jour.

While the reworked TT models will be the highlight of the show, Audi has also promised to bring along a slew of its other products. Nestled among the 25 production models and two show cars will be the freshly-minted A1 compact as well as at least one of the e-Tron show cars. AMI Lepzig will run from April 9-18. Follow the jump for the press release.

Audi a7

The Audi A7 is Audi's new model. This sedan shares its platform with Audi's A8, but has a much more agressive and sports car-like design.

Audi's A7 design is inspired by the Audi Sportback concept, that we saw few years ago at Detroit Motorshow. The main innovations in Audi A7 will be based on this prototype, like their angular lines, LED technology lights, 20-inch wheels, and a lightweight chassis.

This large sedan is a pretty good alternative to a Mercedes CLS, which is a strong rival for Audi's A7. Future versions, like Audi S7 and Audi RS7, will compete with Porsche Panamera or Lamborghini Estoque.

About Audi A7 engines, we may find the same engines in Audi A8, with V6 and V8 gasoline engines and powerfull diesel engines.
Pogea Racing has revealed its package for the Audi A7. The Audi A7 Sportback is an executive-class five-door coupe automobile produced by Audi, and is the coupe variant of the 4th generation (C7) Audi A6 whose platform it shares, although unusually for a coupe the A7 was unveiled before the (C7) A6. It was announced at the Pinakothek der Moderne art museum in Munich on 27 July 2010 and débuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The A7 was preceded by a concept car, the Audi Sportback concept shown at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.[1]. The A7 marked Audi’s return to the executive coupé market since the (C1) Audi 100 Coupe. This new model by Audi will be aimed directly at the competing Mercedes CLS, which became a best seller recently, due to the fact that Daimler-Chrysler is still the only one with this type of car on the market.
Therefore, not only Audi but also Jaguar and Volkswagen are striving to get a rival up and going as soon as possible. Jaguar's version will be the upcoming XJ replacement and Volkswagen is developing a Passat-based coupe with four frameless doors as well.

Audi R8 is a sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-engine, and uses Audi's "brand" quattro permanent four-wheel drive system. It was introduced by German automaker Audi AG in 2006. The car was entirely designed, developed and manufactured by Audi high performance private subsidiary, quattro GmbH, and is derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The basic design of the R8 is based on the "Audi Space Frame", and uses an aluminum monocoque, which is built around a frame of space. The car is built by quattro GmbH in a renovated factory on the site of aluminum Audi "in Neckarsulm, Germany. In 2005, Audi, the name of the successful car Audi R8 race car would be used for the new road in 2007, Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans Quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 Geneva International Motor Show, 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. R8 road car was officially launched at the Auto Show in Paris September 30, 2006.

There was some confusion with the name under which the car shares with the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype (LMP) and also in 1989 Rover 200 Mk2, named R8. Audi R8 is used as a safety car in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and British Superbike Championship Racing Series. To produce the R8 at quattro GmbH, seventy workers fit 5,000 unique parts by hand. The factory at Neckarsulm, redeveloped at a cost of €28 million, produces between eight and fifteen cars a day. Ninety-five lasers inspect the entire car in five seconds to ensure that over 220 measurements are within 0.1 millimetres of the programmed plans.

The 2-seat coupé is currently available in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. The R8 Spider, an open-top roadster model, followed in 2009. In Latin America, the R8 became available at the end of 2008 at dealers in Mexico City, Bogota, Medellin, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima and Santiago. Customers bought every unit available for 2008 within a week after the R8 premiered at the Bogota International Auto Show and Auto Expo of Medellin.

Audi R8 is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 internal combustion. Specific details: This is an aluminum alloy 32-valve (four valves per cylinder) gasoline engine, using stratified injection (FSI), and has a displacement of 4163 cc (254.0 cu in). He developed an engine power of 309 kW (420 hp, 414 hp) and generates 430 Nm (317 ft · lbf) of torque at 98 RON petrol "Super Unleaded". It's basically the same engine used in the B7 Audi RS4, but it is modified to use a dry sump lubrication. The V8 is much reworked, at high speed variant of the current 4.2-liter V8, but includes the fuel injection cylinder direct (stratified injection) and four valves per cylinder, instead of five (such that it is applied to the non-FSI variants.) Furthermore, using two chain-driven double overhead camshafts (DOHC) per cylinder bank, and uses variable valve timing for intake and two trees exhaust cams.

First thought that this version of the R8 have the same engine as the Audi RS6 C6, V10 "biturbo" engine 5.0-liter TFSI producing 580 hp (427 kW 572 hp). However, some components from overheating twin turbo, and a prototype was destroyed in a fire at the Nurburgring. This model shows the Auto Show 2009 North American International. This version of the R8 appears in the trailers and the box art of racing on Xbox 360, Forza Motorsport 3.

The Audi R8 is a two-seat supercar model of Audi.
Audi R8 is based on the concept car Audi Le Mans Quattro. The Audi R8 is presented in 2003 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Audi R8 changed little from the concept car. The large trapezoidal grille, brand identity, is well integrated into the front, but now with the rings to stand on top of the bonnet and rear, the Audi R8 car has air vents that improve aerodynamics at the front like they have the same function and also to cool the brakes.
Audi R8 has 4.2 liter V8 engine and 32 valves (four per cylinder) that yields 420cv (414hp) at 7800 rpm.
 Audi R8 accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 301 km / h.

Six or seven months ago, I’ve heard from the Audi R8 which is quite successful in Germany and some other parts of Europe. Actually the car was launched in 2006, but the hype obviously missed me. The Audi R8 is the first serial model of Audi which represents a midship supercar.

When the German Rudof Christian Diesel first unveiled his new prototype in 1892, he thought he had invented a cheap and reliable power engine for the masses. Even now if you ask a diesel driver to describe their engines performance the word economical will soon crop up, however the German car manufacturer Audi is now looking to challenge that perception of the diesel engine with the worlds first diesel super car, the Audi R8 V12 Tdi.

It is safe to say that the words performance and diesel are not often used together, diesel engines are renowned for their ability to produce more miles per gallon than their petrol counterparts, whilst also producing considerably more torque from much lower down the rev range. Unfortunately diesel does have its drawbacks, including leaving the driver with hands smelling of diesel after filling up at, and belching out huge clouds of black smoke when accelerating to any motorist that may be following behind.

However in 2006 Audi set out to change the public's perception of the diesel engine when it took its R10 diesel powered prototype to race in the famous Le Mans 24 hour race. The 24 hour Le Mans was a happy hunting ground for Audi who had already won the race five times previously with its petrol powered R8, and beat off stiff competition from Bentley and BMW in the process.

On its first race at Le Mans the diesel R10 was a winner, and so the belief of what a diesel engine was capable of began to shift. Audi has swiftly followed this up with further successes at Le Mans and in the American Le Mans series, and now it has launched its first diesel powered super car in the shape of the Audi R8 V12 Tdi.

The diesel Audi R8 looks almost identical to the petrol powered model especially with its LED car bulbs, however very eagle eyed spotters will notice that the carbon fibre side blades are slightly larger, which allows them to scoop larger volumes of air into the twin intercoolers. Being a diesel the R8 has an abundance of torque, over 700 lb ft, meaning you could leave this car in sixth gear all day and still be first away at the traffic light grand prix.

With all that torque available from right at the bottom of the rev range the Audi R8 diesel is no slouch hitting sixty in just over four seconds and accelerating up to 180 mph. Unfortunately like all diesels the R8's power band is very narrow and maximum revs occur at just 4500 rpm, however you can console yourself with the fact that the diesel powered R8 produces considerably less carbon dioxide than its petrol equivalent.

The making of the diesel powered Audi R8 has really pushed the performance boundaries of the diesel engine, however until Ferrari include a diesel powered car in their model range, I think its safe to say that the petrol engine still has plenty of time left.
